PTA Launches News about New National PTA Credit Card
PTA NEWSWIRE – You can now show your PTA colors with the new National PTA credit card. This week PTA launched a news release announcing that it has selected OneCause, a simple program allowing schools to earn contributions from everyday shopping, to provide the official PTA Visa® Platinum credit card. OneCause will contribute 1 percent of every purchase to PTAs nationwide. The card becomes available to supporters on Nov. 20th 2008. PTA NEWSWIRE – International multi-platinum
recording artist and Billboard star CeCe Peniston became
National PTA’s newest Ambassador. The announcement
at PTA’s Commitment to America’s Children Gala
before her special performance which included a snippet of
a song she’s recording for PTA, called “Above
Horizons.” Also at the event, Mathew and Tina Knowles
were presented the esteemed National PTA Commitment to America’s
Children Award for their work across the country on behalf

PTA and Friends Battle Flu
PTA NEWSWIRE – PTA and Novartis Vaccines officially
announced to media this week a national public health initiative
for influenza vaccination for school-aged children, their families
and teachers. In an effort to support the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention’s (CDC) broader influenza vaccination
recommendations, PTA has partnered with Novartis Vaccines and
Flu Busters, an on-site vaccinations provider, for a nationwide
influenza vaccination campaign called "Let’s
Fight Flu Together!"
